MEET JUDGE EDWIN BYRD
THE EXPERIENCE WE NEED FOR DISTRICT COURT JUDGE
Since assuming the bench in 2022, Judge Edwin H. Byrd has overseen hundreds of complex and difficult trials and hearings, as well as routine judicial matters. Judge Byrd recognizes that to every person appearing in court, their case is extremely important. Therefore, he ensures that every issue is carefully considered and every litigant is treated fairly. Judge Byrd is known for his careful preparation of each case and also that all parties are adequately heard. He pays special attention to the law and to the evidentiary rules. Judge Byrd regularly teaches attorneys on issues of evidence and procedure. In addition, Judge Byrd judges at the Shreveport Bar Trial Academy and volunteers for the area high schools' yearly Moot Court Competition.
